News All Spooky
What’s brewing in my writing cauldron
Yeah, I love saying “I have some book news!” and then disappearing, haha.
Anyways, book news and updates!
First of all, I am slowly but surely working my way through bookstores, and I am happy to announce that my book, including some signed copies, will soon be available at Montclair Book Center.
Secondly, it’s November, and my goal is to finally finish the first draft of Marianne and the Devil, my next full-length novel filled with demons, curses, and soul contracts. Today I signed a contract with an editor. We will start working on May the fourth, aiming to publish in October 2026.
Next up: novellas.
Fairbanks will be published at the end of February. It’s not quite what people expect from me. It has older characters with a very different set of problems, but hopefully it will find its readers. This novella reflects our modern life, showing how we rely on systems put in place by people who do not care about us and how it would feel if those systems were suddenly to disappear.
Now for my vampire novella.
This one makes me nervous, but only because it is so much more intense than my first book, Into the Dark, We Go. It came to me in a dream and shows vampires in a way you have never seen before. I am so excited to share it. With the first draft ready, I am itching to start the edits. Loud As Bones is scheduled to be released in mid-June, and I cannot wait.
What next?
I need to start writing a sequel to Into the Dark, We Go. In parallel with that, I am slowly planning a horror story collection with 13 haunting tales.
Yeah, I keep busy.
What have you been up to? How are you staying on track with your writing this holiday season?
Love,
DG
